New Zealand and U.S. Leading Universities to Sign MoU with President University
On July 3rd and July 5th, President University had the opportunity to host some delegations from Canterbury University, New Zealand, and Hawaii University, USA, consecutively. Canterbury University was represented by Nello Angerilli, PhD., the Pro-Vice Chancellor, who was very amazed at the development of President University, Indonesia. He particularly mentioned that the full implementation of English as the primary teaching instruction at the University was the plus point in this collaboration, especially when it came to student exchange program and join-degree program. He argued that the language barrier had become one of the main challenges when setting up good collaborations with universities in Indonesia — a problem that could be overcome through the establishments of international standard and English-speaking universities, such as President University. New Zealand which was known as the ideal shooting place for many epic movies, such as Lord of the Ring, will provide a good studying environment for PresUnivers.
Similar comment also came from Ehito Kimura, the Assistant Professor at Department of Political Science of University of Hawai’i at Manoa, who indicated that the implementation of English as the main teaching instruction at President University had made the international collaboration between the two universities possible, especially for student exchange program and join degree program as the short and long term plans consecutively. Such collaborations were previously seen not viable to be implemented in Indonesia due to the language barrier.
All in all, President University has once again steal the attentions of some well established and leading universities abroad.
