In the webinar “How to Grow Business During Pandemic”, Saturday (20/3), Kevin Subowo, Co-Founder and CEO of DailyBox, shared experiences and strategies that were carried out by DailyBox, so that it developed during the pandemic. The webinar organized by the Management Study Program, President University (PresUniv), was guided by Dr. Alexander Suwinto Johan, lecturer at PresUniv, and attended by Dr. Dra. Genoveva, MM, Program Leader of Management Study Program, PresUniv.
Kevin said, there were many challenges when starting an F&B business. Namely, low entry barrier, price sensitive market, high initial investment, and consistency quality product. He said, "We have to overcome this and find a solution, so that the business can continue to grow. For this reason, having clear goals, visions and values ??is very important to overcome these challenges in the business."
Kevin explained, no entrepreneur can predict a pandemic. As a result, many entrepreneur are not ready to face it. “Since starting the DailyBox business, I have seen the trend of people starting to move towards food delivery. So, the DailyBox focuses on the concept. During a pandemic, according to thinkwithgoogle.com, in Southeast Asia there was a shift in people's purchasing behavior towards food delivery," he said. Kevin said, in the new normal era, he continued to push the DailyBox towards this trend and continued to innovate in terms of products and sales strategies. Webinar yang diselenggarakan Program Studi (Prodi) Manajemen, President University (PresUniv), ini dipandu oleh Dr. Alexander Suwinto Johan, dosen PresUniv, dan dihadiri oleh Dr. Dra. Genoveva, MM, Ketua Prodi Manajemen, PresUniv.
Kevin menyampaikan, ada banyak tantangan saat memulai bisnis F&B. Di antaranya, low entry barrier, price sensitive market, high initial investment, dan consistency quality product. Katanya, “Ini harus kami hadapi dan cari solusinya, sehingga bisnis dapat terus berkembang. Untuk itu, adanya tujuan, visi, dan value yang jelas sangat penting untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut dalam menjalankan sebuah bisnis.”
Papar Kevin, tidak ada pebisnis yang dapat memprediksi bakal adanya pandemi seperti saat ini. Akibatnya banyak pebisnis yang tidak siap menghadapi. “Sejak memulai bisnis DailyBox, saya melihat tren masyarakat mulai bergerak pada food delivery. Jadi, DailyBox fokus pada konsep tersebut. Pada saat pandemi, menurut thinkwithgoogle.com, di Asia Tenggara terjadi pergeseran perilaku pembelian masyarakat ke arah food delivery,” ujarnya. Kata Kevin, di era new normal, ia terus mendorong DailyBox menuju tren tersebut dan terus berinovasi dari segi produk maupun strategi penjualan. “Kami ini ibarat perahu yang sudah ke mana arahnya.
