During the Covid-19 pandemic, people prefer to do online transaction instead of going to public places or shopping centers. 
Therefore, the logistics and supply chain industry in Indonesia will face several challenges. To further discuss it, President University's Internship and Career Center held a webinar entitled "Potret Masa Depan Industri Logistik dan Supply Chain Indonesia di Era New Normal" on Friday, 18 September 2020. This webinar specifically invited two experts, Zaldy Ilham Masita, Chairman of the Indonesian Logistics Association, and Benny Woenardi, Managing Director at Cikarang Dry Port.

Zaldy Ilham Masita opened the discussion by explaining the obstacles after Covid-19. "This year, consumer expectations are increasing, from requests for health protocol implementation in each process to transparency. This can be solved with logistic digitalization," he said.

Accordingly, Benny Woenardi stated that the digital logistics transformation has been implemented by Cikarang Dry Port several years ago. He also added that, it requires computer and data analysis skills to have career in this industry.

This webinar was attended by three study programs at President University, which are Management, Business Administration, and Industrial Engineering with total participants more than 400 people. (PT/SD)

 

 

 

Digitalisasi Logistik Sebagai Jawaban Dalam Menghadapi Tantangan di Era New Normal 

 

Selama masa pandemi Covid-19, masyarakat cenderung memilih untuk melakukan transaksi secara online daripada pergi ke tempat umum atau pusat perbelanjaan. Oleh karenanya, industri logistik dan supply chain Indonesia akan menghadapi beberapa tantangan. Untuk mengulasnya lebih dalam, Internship and Career Center President University mengadakan webinar yang bertajuk “Potret Masa Depan Industri Logistik dan Supply Chain Indonesia di Era New Normal” pada Jumat, 18 September 2020. Webinar ini secara khusus mengundang dua narasumber yang sangat ahli, yaitu Zaldy Ilham Masita, Ketua Umum Asosiasi Logistik Indonesia dan Benny Woenardi, Managing Director di Cikarang Dry Port.

Zaldy Ilham Masita membuka pembahasan dengan memaparkan hambatan pasca Covid-19. “Tahun ini, ekspektasi konsumen semakin meningkat, mulai dari permintaan penerapan protokol kesehatan di setiap prosesnya hingga transparansi. Hal ini dapat diselesaikan dengan digitalisasi logistik” ujarnya. 

Sesuai dengan itu, Benny Woenardi menyatakan bahwa transformasi digital logistik telah diterapkan Cikarang Dry Port beberapa tahun lalu. Ia juga menambahkan, dibutuhkan keterampilan komputer dan analisis data untuk berkarir di industri ini. 

Webinar ini diikuti oleh tiga program studi di President University, yaitu Manajemen, Administrasi Bisnis, dan Teknik Industri dengan total peserta lebih dari 400 orang. (PT/SD)
