Published: 25 Jul 2020

Responding to global challenges, President University is committed to providing the best service to the international students at President University, as well as Indonesian students at President University who want to enhance their skills by joining student exchanges abroad. This effort was demonstrated by the International Office (IO) of President University by conducting comparative studies with prestigious Indonesian universities, one of which was Universitas Diponogoro (Undip). The International Office team of President University met with the International Office team of Universitas Diponegoro online on Wednesday (7/22). This activity was an implementation of the partnership agreed by the two universities in 2019.

In this online meeting, both President University and Undip shared their experiences in handling international students. With a different situation, where many international students at President University join the degree program whereas more international students at Undip join the non-degree programs, the two universities exchange much valuable information about the recruitment of international students, short programs for international students, as well as administrative problems that may be faced by international students studying in Indonesia. The President University's IO team also had the opportunity to present a non-degree program that could be attended by international students, including the 4-week Summer Course Program, the Business and Culture Program in Indonesia for 4 weeks, and the Darmasiswa Program which is held for one year.

Lambok Hermanto Sihombing, M.Hum., the Head of the International Office of President University mentioned that this discussion has brought a lot of new insight to the IO team in order to improve services for international students and develop student exchange programs. Looking ahead, the President University's IO team has compiled various interesting programs for international students who want to participate in a degree or non-degree program at President University. In addition, supported by extensive collaboration between President University and overseas universities, the IO team will also arrange an interesting program for President University students who want to participate in student exchanges abroad.
