The students of Management Study Program, President University, won "The 3rd Winner of Marketing Case A" in the 14th IMOTION competition in the Marketing Plan Competition category. This team consists of Arista Surya Dharma, Perina Amelia, Nadya, and Kezia Sharon, students of Management Study Program batch 2019.

IMOTION or Indonesia Marketing Competition is one of the biggest marketing events held by the Management Student Society (MSS), Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia. The event was divided into three sessions, namely the Marketing Plan Competition, the Advertising Video Competition, and the Marketing Talk. Hundreds of student teams from all over Indonesia participated in this national scale event.

For this year, IMOTION presented a theme "Inbound Marketing, Developing a Relevant Content Strategy Amid High Competition". In this event, said Arista, her team was given a business case from Lakuemas, a company engaged in O2O (online-to-offline) gold investment. They are then asked to write essays and develop a marketing plan to achieve company goals. "In the final round, we have to present our ideas in front of the judges. In addition, there is still a debate session until we finally get the third place," she explained.

Arista said, “This competition starts from real cases. We are happy because these cases can hone our critical thinking skills and enhance our knowledge." Arista dreams of becoming a management consultant. "This kind of competition certainly helps me in realizing that dream," she concluded. (SL)

 


 

Tim Mahasiswa Manajemen President University Raih Juara III The 14th IMOTION

 

Tim mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen, President University, berhasil meraih “The 3rd Winner of Marketing Case A” dalam kompetisi The 14th IMOTION pada kategori Marketing Plan Competition. Tim ini terdiri dari Arista Surya Dharma, Perina Amelia, Nadya, dan Kezia Sharon, mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen angkatan 2019.

IMOTION atau Indonesia Marketing Competition adalah salah satu ajang pemasaran terbesar yang diadakan oleh Management Student Society (MSS), Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, Universitas Indonesia. Ajang ini terbagi dalam tiga sesi, yaitu Marketing Plan Competition, Advertising Video Competition, dan Marketing Talk. Ratusan tim mahasiswa dari seluruh Indonesia berpartisipasi pada ajang berskala nasional ini.

Untuk tahun 2020, IMOTION mengangkat tema “Inbound Marketing, Mengembangkan Strategi Konten Relevan di Tengah Persaingan yang Tinggi”. Pada ajang ini, ungkap Arista, timnya diberikan kasus bisnis dari Lakuemas, perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang investasi emas O2O (online-to-offline). Mereka lalu diminta membuat esai dan menyusun rencana pemasaran untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaan. “Pada babak final, kami harus mempresentasikan ide kami di hadapan para juri. Selain itu masih ada sesi debat sampai akhirnya kami mendapatkan gelar juara III,” jelasnya.

Kata Arista, “Kompetisi ini berangkat dari kasus-kasus yang riil. Kami senang karena kasus-kasus itu dapat mengasah keterampilan berpikir dan menambah pengetahuan.” Arista bercita-cita menjadi konsultan manajemen. “Kompetisi semacam ini tentu membantu saya dalam upaya mewujudkan mimpi tersebut,” pungkasnya.
